Moradabad, Jan 21: At least seven people, including two minors, were killed and 50 others severely injured in asynchronous accidents here.
According to police today, some people were watching a Moharram procession from a dilapidated terrace at village Salempur in Gaanth area last evening, when it gave way.
At least 44 people were injured and admitted to hospital in a life threatening condition, where four patients succumbed. Three of the deceased were identified as Aneesa (40), Sameer (14) and Saddam (10).
In an unrelated incident, a speeding tractor-trolley, en route from Reeth village to Kosa, turned turtle, killing a passenger instantly and injuring 10 others seriously.
The dead was identified as Amna Khatoon. Besides, two others were killed in separate road accidents in Narwasa and Bilari areas respectively.
The bodies had been sent for post-mortem.
