Sharif wins carrom title

Visakhapatnam, Jan 20 (UNI) Sharif (SDV) won men's singles title in the third-rd CMR-VJF Inter-Media Carrom Singles by beating V Ravindra, All India Radio (AIR), at the Karala Venkateswara Rao Bhavan here today.

Brief results: Sharif beat V Ravindra (AIR) 25-13, 19-25, 25-05.

M Bhimaraju (AIR) claims 3-rd place beating R Ramesh Babu (AIR) 25-18, 23-25, 25-19.

In the men doubles, won by A Manoharan and B Ganesh (The Hindu), they beat S Durga Rao and S Ramakrishna (Vision) 25-13, 25-06.

R Ramesh Babu and D D Sanyaci Rao (AIR) secured 3rd position beating team mate V Ravindra and M Bhimaraju (AIR) 18-25, 25-16, 25-21.

In the women doubles title, won by G Madhuri Latha/ V Anuradha (The Hindu), they beat V V Rani/B T Krishna Kumari (AIR) 25-00. 3rd place won by A A Kameswari/ Soubhagya (AIR) by beating PVVS Nagamani/ Pavani (AIR) 25-00.

G Madhuri Latha (The Hindu) won women single title beating her team mate V Anurdha 25-12. A Kamaeswari (AIR) claimed 3-rd place beating V V Rani (AIR) 25-16.
