Islamabad, Jan 20 : The members of the Scotland Yard team, which was in Pakistan to investigate assassination of former premier Benazir Bhutto, have finally left for Britain after completion of the probe.
British High Commission (BHC) said that the Scotland Yard team on completion of their probe into the Benazir Bhutto murder case left this morning for Britain through British Airways.
BHC spokesperson said that the process of investigation has been completed and the officials of the Scotland Yard returning home would give their report, which would be submitted on their return here to the Pakistan Government.
Earlier, Aidan Liddle, who is Head of Press and Public Affairs Section of the British High Commission in Islamabad, said that the members of Scotland Yard team are more than satisfied and thankful for the cooperation they have received from the Pakistani authorities, particularly from the Punjab police.
In a rejoinder to the story headlined 'UK team reports no local cooperation' by Shakeel Anjum published in The News Saturday, Aiden termed the report absolutely baseless.
