Patna, Jan 20 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said that a sitting judge of the High Court would probe the Kahalgaon police firing, which had claimed three lives.
Mr Kumar here said that the state government would soon request the Chief Justice of Patna High Court to spare a judge to inquire into the Kahalgaon police firing.
''Officers responsible for the lapses in disharging their duties that lead to the incident would not be spared,'' Mr Kumar warned.
Earlier, Mr Kumar had suspended deputy police superintendent and and sub-divisional officer of Kahalgaon for dereliction of the duty, leading to violence during the protest by local people in support of their demand to ensure regular power supply in the area a few days back.
