Bihar Regimental School and Spring Dale win

Jalandhar,Jan 20 (UNI) Bihar Regimental School of Danapur whipped Dadial Khalsa Senior Secondary School of Patiala by 6-0 after leading 2-0 at half time in the fourth edition of the All India S Balwant Singh Kapur Memorial Schools Hockey Tourament for boys Under-17 being played at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here today.

Anoop Topno (2), Sanjay Heranj (2), Binay Bhengra (1) and Deepak Kujur (1) were the winners marksmen.

Spring Dale Public School of Amritsar defeated Indra Priyadarshani Senior School of Bhopal by 5-1. The match was played at a fast pace.

It was the Bhopal team which drew the first blood through Piyush Yadav in the 10th minute. Six minutes later, Spring Dale School neutralised the lead through Kuldeep Singh who converted a penalty corner.

After equaliser, the Amritsar School started asserting themselves and scored more goals through Rupinder Singh (21st), Navjot Singh (27th, 34th) and Satinderjit Singh (45th).
