JK: Rs 348 crores for Baramulla under NRHM

plan

National
Rural
Health
Mission
(NRHM)
for
the
next
four
years
for
District
Rural
Health
Society
(DRHS),
Baramulla
in
north
Kashmir
has
been
approved,
an
official
spokesman
said
today.
He said the approval for four years from 2008 to 2012 was accorded during a meeting held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Baramulla, who is also the Chairman of the Society.
Spokesman said the main focus would be on construction of buildings for Sub Centres and Primary Health Centres, recruitment of specialists and para-medical staff for hospitals as per Indian Public Health standard, up gradation of all PHC's and CH's in rural areas with latest equipment and machinery and construction of district store for medicines being supplied to the blocks.
He said the thrust areas of the mission would be taking care of maternal health, dental and child health, immunization, family planning and adolescent health.
