Nashik, Jan 19 (UNI) Sandeep Kawde from Mumbai won the ''Junior Maharashtra Shree'' title in the state body-building championship held here last evening.
The competition was organised jointly by Urja Pratisthan and Nashik District Body Builders Association. Kawde also received a cash award of Rs 11,000.
The junior group competitions were held in six weight groups -- 55 kg, 60 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 75 kg and above 75 kg. A masters championship was also held in two groups -- under 70 kg (40 to 49 years) and above 70 kg (above 50 years of age).
Following are the winners: Masters group (under 70 kg): Bajirao Gholap (Satara), Masters group (above 70 kg): Mahadev Bapke (Pune).
Junior Shree: 55 kg: Kunal Dhatrak (Nashik), 60 kg: Kiran Pawar (Nashik), 65 kg: Sameer Magam (Mumbai), 70 kg: Sandeep Kawde (Mumbai), 75 kg: Naresh Nagdev (Thane), above 75 kg: Rajesh Raut (Mumbai).
Naresh Nagdev was adjudged the Best Competitor, while Kunal Dhatrak won the award for the Best Poser. Mumbai won the Best Team award.
