Police driver killed as jeep overturns
Sonepat, Jan 19 (UNI) A driver working in local police died on the spot when his jeep overturned on Rathdhana road late last evening.
According to information, the driver Dilbag, a resident of Panipat, was on way to Sonepat last night when around 2100 hrs his jeep went out of control and overturned when he tried to save an animal which had suddenly appeared on the road.
A passerby reportedly brought Dilbag to local civil hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.
According to another report, the body of Havildar Vinod Kumar of Sonepat police was found lying under suspicious circumstances behind a veterinary hospital in Lakhanmajra of Rohtalk district.
The cause of death has not yet been ascertained.
The Police have registered a case.
