Nepal defence cadres hurled bomb during mass meeting
Kathmandu, Jan 19 (UNI) The cadres of the Nepal Defence Army (NDA), supporting the monarchy, hurled a bomb at a micro-bus at Bhotahity on January 14 during the mass meeting of the seven-party alliance in Kathmandu, Nepal police today said.
''They had actually tried to trigger the blast at the dias where the seven-party leaders were sitting during the mass meeting but did not dare to do so fearing immediate arrest,'' the police said.
''Three persons were involved in the crime. We arrested Santosh Kumar Basnet (34) and Megh Bahadur Khatri (32) both from Dang and Chandra Bhupal Pun from Rukum is absconding,'' the Himalayan Times quoted Joint-Commissioner at the Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD) SSP Upendra Kanta Aryal as saying.
