Ahmedabad, Jan 19: The NDTV office here was ransacked by activists of a Hindu right wing organisation ''Hindu Samrajya Sena'' this morning, protesting against an SMS poll conducted by the channel.
According to channel officials, the activists barged into the NDTV office located at Navrangpura area and expressed their annoyance over the inclusion of controversial painter M F Hussein's name in NDTV's poll as a contender for the ''Bharat Ratna'', the nation's highest civilian honour.
At least 20 activists ransacked the NDTV office and destroyed studio equipments, air-conditioners and other properties of the office. One employee of the channel was also injured, officials added.
Gujarat Minister of State for Home Amit Shah, meanwhile, has assured strict action against the attackers.
