Himachal Government to formulate PTA policy soon

Shimla, Jan 19 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today said that in obedience to orders of Himachal Pradesh High Court, the state government would be formulating an uniform policy over the appointment of teachers under PTA.

The Chief Minister here at official residence Oakover gave hearing to delegation of PTA teachers. He said that the interests of teachers deployed in various parts of the state under this policy will be protected and all aspects would be taken in to consideration to accommodate them.

''Government would not work under any political vendetta and all decision ensuring maximum transparency would be taken on merit basis,'' the Chief Minister said.

Decision to carry recruitment on 50 per cent batch wise and 50 per cent direct for all the professional vacancies had already been taken to be implemented in principle, and merit and seniority would be given due priority in recruitment carried in a transparent manner, he asserted.
