City police produce film on awareness to combat terrorism
Hyderabad, Jan 19 (UNI) In an effort to create awareness among the people of twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad about terrorist activities, the city police today released an anti-sabotage film titled 'Meri Jaan Hyderabad'.
Talking to newspersons here, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DCP) (city Crime branch) Praveen Kumar said the objective of the film was to create awareness among the people on how to inform the police when suspicious things were found at public and religious places.
Stating that the film advocating the people's response to suspicious looking things and informing the police immediately by dialling '100', would help the police to find out and defuse the explosives before they go off.
Mr Kumar said the film would be screened in cinema theaters and TV channels in the city regularly.
'The combined effort of the police and people could prevent any violent attack by the terrorists in the capital city', he said adding 'the making of the film was an idea of city police Commissioner Balwinder Singh'.
