Raipur, Jan 19: Bahujan Samaj Party leaders today projected Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati as 'prime minister in waiting' saying that the BSP supremo has proved her leadership qualities.
Addressing a ''Bhaichara Banao'' -- promote brotherhood -- rally here in the Chhattisgarh capital, BSP General Secretary Satish Mishra, Uttar Pradesh Health Education Minister Lalji Verma, BSP State Party Affairs incharge Sewaram and Chhattisgarh BSP President Dauram Ratnakar projected her as the ''next Prime Minister''.
The BSP leaders lashed out at both the Congress as well as the Bhatariya Janata Party saying that these parties had always created divisions in the society for their narrow political gains.
They said Ms Mayawati, who became Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the fourth time, had been successful in uniting all sections of the society.
''The poor belonging to all sections, including the scheduled caste, scheduled tribes, other backward classes, religious minorities and even the upper castes have reposed their faith in the leadership of Ms Mayawati,'' they added.
