Yadav blames UPA for its anti-people policies
Bangalore, Jan 18(UNI) Janata Dal (U) National President Sharad Yadav today blamed Congress led UPA government at the Centre for its anti-people policies and said that it would pay a heavy price for it in the next General elections.
Mr Yadav told reporters here today that the wrong policies of UPA had led to a hike in the price of all commodities, increase in suicides by farmers and rendering small traders jobless. " Its policies in favour of MNCs had led the farmers commit suicide every three minutes and small traders go jobless in the country," he alleged.
He said that UPA has so far not framed any policies for small traders or SEZs to protect the interests of the farmers.
Stating that the UPA had lost elections held in the past four years everywhere except Goa, he said that Congress would be wiped out in the next elections to the Lok Sabha for its anti-people policies.
JD(U) Karnataka President B Somashekhar said that the priority was to strengthen the party and get prepared for the coming mid-term elections in the state.
