Chandigarh Jan 18 (UNI) TVS Tyres launched the country's first ever puncture resistant tubeless tyres for two wheelers here today, promising riders greater safety and control over rough roads.
The TVS tyres unveiled - 'The Terrific Trio', the three new technology tyres from the leading company after the resounding success of its "Magnificent Seven" portfolio.
Speaking at the press conference here today, Executive Vice President Operations and Marketing Mr. S Balasubramanian said, "These tyres are especially designed for Indian roads where frequent punctures are common. This means, these tyres once fitted can be forgotten except for the usual air checks." "Because this technology makes sure there can be no sudden blow out of the tyre under extreme loading conditions, TVS Tyres provides the driver with an increased control of the vehicle on rough roads." '' This is quite simply the safest tyre on the road. Puncture resistant tyres can be fitted on to all scooters, scooterettes and motorcycles having alloy wheels. The other motorcycles' spoke wheels can be replaced with alloy wheels and fitted with the puncture resistant tyres.
"In addition to this revolutionary technology, we have also introduced two new technology tyres- Dual tread technology tyres and Polyester technology tyres, the first of their kind in the Indian two wheeler industry," he said.
Incorporating reinforcing mediums like Polyester in the tyres will provide a better drivability as well as provide stability at high speeds. Retaining dimension even at high speeds, the Polyester tyres are ideal for hi-speed bikes.
The Dual Tread tyres have double tread i.e one for the center and the other for the sidewalls. More resistant tread at the centre and soft rubber on the side wall provide greater responsiveness and better stability with better wear properties. This increases the life of the tyre, makes the tyres highly resistant to abrasion and enhances the high wet and dry grip.
TVS Tyres Polyester and Dual Tread Tyres can be fitted on all regular rims.
