today
lauded
TATA's

and
described

Speaking after giving entreprenuership awards at TIECON-2008 here, he said the Nano car would inspire many others to invent and innovate. Observing that the present world was driven by knowledge and that the 21st century would belong to Asia, he said India would gain its place as one of the most important countries in the world in this Century.
''Indians have valued Knowledge and also have the ability to innovate'', he said and cited the example of Nano, which would inspire others to invent and innovate.
''If a product becomes cheaper, a large number of people will benefit by it and at the same time the company will also gain'', he observed.
Referring to the free Colour TV scheme of the DMK governemnt, Mr Karunanidhi said the scheme has a higher aim.
''It's not merely about entertaining or educating the people.
I want the younger generation to see beyond their huts, their villages and their small towns. This TV set is a window for them to see the outside world. I want to unlock their creative genius and want the youth of Tamil Nadu to think big'', he said and added his government would work with them to make their dreams come true.
