Srinagar, Jan 18: An amount of Rs 183.86 crore was being spent on 128 schemes under execution in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, an official spokesperson said today.
He said against a total of 59 schemes, damaged in the devastating earthquake on October 8,2005, eight schemes have been completed and another 44 would be completed by the end of current fiscal under earthquake restoration scheme.
Under district sector and Bharat Nirman Programme, 128 schemes were presently under execution at a total cost of Rs 183.86 crore in Baramulla district, he said. Expenditure to the tune of Rs 53.42 crore stand incurred up to ending December last. He said under Public Health Engineering (PHE) sector, four schemes have been completed at a total cost of Rs 3.11 crore.
Besides, two more PHE schemes of Lagama and Delina would be completed by end of current fiscal.
Under irrigation sector, three schemes --Sheeri Norwar, Seer interior and Rafiabad-- high lift schemes are being completed by March 2008, he added.
