Kisan cell Chairman denies TDP's charges
Hyderabad, Jan 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) Kisan cell Chairman M Kodanda Reddy denied the charges made by senior TDP leaders of Telangana region that the State Government was diverting the funds to Rayalaseema by selling the lands in Telangana region.
Addresing a press conference here today, he said the Government was spending crores of rupees for the developmental activities in the Telangana region. With a view to develop the backward areas the Government was selling the Government land, which were under Hyderabad Urban Development limits, as per the master plan to raise funds for the development, he added.
He said the state Government had taken up construction of flyovers, widening of roads and other infrastructure in the city to cater to future needs of the people.
He alleged that the previous TDP Government had sold several profitable public sector undertakings including Republic Forge, not for the development of the backward areas, but for their own benefits.
He asked the TDP leaders to pass a resolution in their party meeting, stating that no developments including projects and employment opportunities needed in the Rayalaseema region.
