Karshaka Congress to hold "Open Houses" on farmers problem
Kozhikode, Jan 18 (UNI) The Karshaka Congress affiliated to the main Opposition Congress in Kerala will hold ''Open Houses'' in all the 14 districts to discuss in detail the problems faced by the farming community in the state.
Talking to newspersons here today, Karshaka Congress state president Lal Varghese said Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee(KPCC) president Ramesh Chennithala would inaugurate the event at Pilasseri in the district on February nine.
Mr Varghese said decisions taken at the open houses to be held at farming centres would be forwarded to the Centre and the state government for necessary action.
The inaugural function would be attended by, among others, KPCC Vice-President and former Union Minister Mullappalli Ramachandran, KPCC General Secretary E M Augusthy, former State Ministers P Cyriac John and P Sankaran, he added.
