Patna, Jan 18(UNI) The Bihar government is likely to introduce Indore type bus services in Patna and other major towns in the state within six months to improve the communication system.
State Urban Development Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey told reporters here today that he was impressed with the transport services there introduced by newly floated agency--Indore City Transport Service Limited.
Under the new system, the movement of buses in the city would be monitored through computerised system to ensure punctuality and provide better services to the people,he said adding the system had resulted in earning profit of Rs one crore this year.
''Cities having population of more than 5 lakh would avail this service,'' he said adding the state government would send a high level team to Indore to study the system and make recommendations on introducing similar system in Bihar.
