Freedom figther-CPI leader remembered
Puducherry, Jan 18 (UNI) Rich tributes were paid to the veteran freedom fighter and Communist Party of India (CPI) leader Jeevanandam on his 45th death anniversary here today.
Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy and Education Minister M O H F Shajahan garlanded the statue of the leader on behalf of the territorial administration.
PMK Parliamentary Party leader Prof M Ramadass, CPI State Secretary Na Ra Kalainathan, MLA, CPI National Council member R Viswanathan, MLA, and leaders of the Dravidar Kazhagam also garlanded the statue to mark the occasion.
Earlier, floral tributes were paid to a decorated portrait of the veteran leader at the CPI head quarters here.
