Washington, Jan 18 : Actor Elijah Wood is keen on starring in the planned prequels to the Lord of the Rings trilogy so that he can revisit his popular character.
The 26-year-old actor, who played hobbit Frodo Baggins in the hit movie series, is desperate to sign up to be a part of any further additions to the movie franchise.
Currently, plans to start filming, The Hobbit, JRR Tolkien's first novel, are underway with reports of a second prequel to follow.
Wood's role is not a part of the film but the actor is hoping to be included in the movie through any other way.
"If I'm asked to go back and revisit that character, I would love to. I would absolutely love it," Contactmusic quoted Wood, as saying.
"If he (Frodo) should show up, it would be the perfect way to
revisit because it could be small enough that I could go back and
have a nice sort of reunion with the memories that I have of that
experience," he added.
