BSF seals Indo-Bangla border fearing Bird Flu
Shillong, Jan 18 (UNI) The Border Security Force has sealed all borders with Bangladesh following outbreak of Bird Flu in that country.
The BSF has instructed all its troops along the Indo-Bangla border to keep an extra alert to check import of poultry items after the outbreak of the epidemic in West Bengal and Bangladesh.
''We have directed all our guards not to allow any poultry items to be imported into the country because of the epidemic,'' BSF (Meghalaya-Assam) Frontier Spokesman V S Sirkarwar said.
The BSF have decided to seal the borders on the directives of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
