Perth, Jan 17 (UNI) Out of form batsman Yuvraj Singh injured his knee during the warm-up session before the start of play on the second day of the third Test here today.
''He hurt his knee this morning before the start of second day's play of the third cricket Test and is still not certain how serious is the injury,'' Media Manager M V Sridhar said.
Yuvraj was playing soccer with his teammates when he collapsed clutching his left knee and was later taken to a local hospital for scans.
The 26-year-old left-hander failed in the first two Tests, as well as in the practise match with the ACT XI in Canberra, and was left out of the playing XI for the ongoing Test.
Sridhar denied that there is any fears regarding injury to VVS Laxman's ankle.
He also said former skipper Sourav Ganguly is also fine and today went for a routine check-up.
