Festive spirit prevails as kite fliers outdo each
Ahmedabad, Jan 13, 2008: Thousands of enthusiasts descended to participate in one of the biggest kite festivals in the world in India"s western city of Ahmedabad on January 13.
Kites of all hues, colours and shapes like dragons, human faces, shapes of birds and fruits battled for the skies of Ahmedabad, venue of a four-day annual International Kite Festival which is held during Makar Sankranti or Uttarayan, a harvest festival.
