Precious metals recover on good demand from retailers

Mumbai, Jan 17: Both the precious metals recovered today with Silver rising by Rs 60 per kg and Gold improving slightly by Rs 10 per ten gm from their last close, on good demand from retailers, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 20,455 (20,395) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 11,240 (11,230) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 11,290 (11,280).
