Lahore, Jan 17 : Numira Saleem, a Pakistani woman undergoing training in the US for a space flight scheduled within the next couple of years, hoisted her country's flag at the South Pole on Wednesday.
Earlier, on Saturday she had hoisted the Pakistani flag at the North Pole, and she had announced that she would hoist her country's flag at the South Pole too, reported the Daily Times.
Numira, who is presently based in Southern France, said it was a
great honour to represent her country as the first Pakistani
citizen at the North and South Pole during the International Polar
