Udupi, Jan 17 (UNI) The deadlock over the ascension of 'Sarvajnapeeta' and the performance of Sri Krishna Pooja by Sri Sugunendra Thirtha Swamiji of Puthige Mutt, continues.
Emerging from Sri Raghavendra Mutt here last night, Sugunendra Thirtha Swamiji announced that the talks held between himself and Sri Vishvesha Thirtha Swamiji of Pejavar Mutt, under the mediation of Suyamindra Acharya of Mantralaya Raghavendra Mutt, was 'satisfactory.' He said he would ascend the 'Paryaya Peeta' tomorrow and Pooja be conducted along with pontiffs of Asta Mutt.
An official announcement to this effect would be made today as two of the pontiffs of Asta Mutt were not available for consent to the agreement.
Sri Laxmivara Thirtha Swamiji of Shiroor Mutt, who accompanied the seer during the talks said all swamijis would participate in the Paryaya procession tomorrow.
Meanwhile, sources at Pejavar Mutt said there was no breakthrough as a fresh condition relating to a spiritual matter, had been raised by the Puthige Mutt seer. Some of the swamijis had expressed their objections to the new condition.
Haridas Bhat, spokesman for the Pejavar Mutt said ''we are back to square one. No progress has been made in the talk.'' The issue is expected to be resolved by this evening.
