6.9 kg contraband seized in Delhi, three arrested
New Delhi, Jan 17 (UNI) The Delhi Police have busted a drug trafficking racket in East Delhi with the arrest of three persons, including a couple and seized 6.9 kg of contraband from them.
The couple and their associate were arrested after the crime branch received information that a drug trafficking racket was operating from Vivek vihar in East Delhi.
The arrest of one of the accused Suresh, near Vivek Vihar in East Delhi, led to the recovery of 800 gm of smack. On Suresh's revealation that he was using a flat in Ramprasth in Ghaziabad to run the nefarious trade, the police raided the flat and arrested Suresh's wife Nirmala and their associate Bharat while they were busy preparing samples of smack.
A total of 6.9 kg of contraband were recovered from them.
A case has been registered against the three persons under the NDPS Act.
