Chandigarh, Jan 16 (UNI) About 504 development works with a cost of Rs 143 crore are being carried out by the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board (HSAMB) in Bhiwani district of which 106 works have been completed by spending Rs 25 crore.
HSAMB Chief Administrator Ram Niwas said that 25 new roads were being constructed by spending more than Rs 10.67 crore in the district. Of these, the construction work of nine road had already been completed with a cost of Rs 4.62 crore while the construction work of nine roads were in progress.
Besides, tenders would soon be invited for five roads.
He said the repair work of 51 roads were being carried out at a cost of Rs 8.63 crore and the tender work for five new roads were in pipeline.
The Chief Administrator said that for giving more facilities to the farmers, the repair and maintenance work in 18 vegetable and food grain mandis of the district were being carried out at war level with a cost of Rs 7.25 crore. Of these, an amount of Rs 3.38 crore had been spent for providing various facilities in 11 mandis and the work was in progress in four mandis.
He said that the repair work would soon be started on remaining mandis in the district.
