Patiala professors conferred ICP Fellowship
Patiala, Jan 16 (UNI) Two eminent Professors of Medicine, Dr Harbir Kaur Rao and Dr. Rajinder Singh Gupta of Govt. Medical College here , have been conferred the Fellowship of Indian College of Physicians (ICP).
The honour has been conferred in recognition of their significant contribution to research, patient care and dedicated services to the society in the field of Medicine.
The Fellowship was conferred at the ICP's Annual Convocation held during the 63rd Annual Conference of the Association of Physician of India at Kochi (Kerala) from January 10-13.
Dr. Harbir Kaur Rao, a Professor of Medicine and Incharge Cardiology, has earlier been awarded numerous medals and honours in academics and profession and has over 50 research papers in Diabetes and Hypertension to her credit in National and International Journals. Her work on Geriatrics and Post Graduate Medicine has also been included in Text Books.
Dr Rajinder Singh Gupta, Professor of Medicine has a teaching cum cum research experience of over 30 years in various capacities and has published over 50 Papers in various national and international journals.
He is reckoned as an authority in matters like Bird Flu, Dengue and related viral diseases.
