Chatra, Jan 16 (UNI) With the speculation of change in leadership in the UPA-backed Madhu Koda government of Jharkhand, the RJD today said Mr Koda was still their first choice.
Talking to reporters here, state president of the party Gautam Sagar Rana said Mr Koda was the first choice of the party and if the Congress was not satisfied with his functioning, it should suggest some measures.
Mr Rana said the Congress would not withdraw its support as the party itself was aspiring to contest Simaria bypoll.
To a query, he said extending support to the CPI candidate was necessary to keep ''communal forces'' at bay.
Earlier, the RJD had decided to field Mr Yogendra Baitha as its candidate in the February four byelection to Simaria Assambly seat.
