Chandigarh, Jan 16 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today invited businessmen from England and Canada to invest in Haryana as he interacted with them at the venue of the three-day Partnership Summit which began in Gurgaon today.
Mr Hooda also had separate one-to-one meetings with Ms Sandra Pupatello, Minister for Economic Development and Trade, Government of Ontario, Canada and Mr Digby Jones, Minister of State for Trade and Investment, UK Trade and Investment in the transit office of the venue of the Partnership Summit.
Mr Hooda also met Lord Karan Billimoria, UK Chairman of Indo-British Partnership, along with select members of the British Business Delegation.
The Chief Minister apprised the delegations about the new industrial policy of the state and said the environment in Haryana was now industry-friendly.
He said that because of the good law and order situation in the state and its proximity to the national capital, Haryana had become the first choice for the investors.
He also apprised them about various schemes being implemented by state government to raise socio-economic status of the people.
