Udupi, Jan 16 (UNI) With just two days left for the transfer of Paryaya 'puja rights' the crisis over Paryaya Peetarohan continued with Sri Krishna Pooja of Puttige mutt seer Sri Sugunendra Thirtha and the other group headed by Sri Vishvesha Thirtha of Pejavar Mutt moving in different directions.

The two groups remained adamant to accept the 'compromise formula' put forward two days ago to mutually to settle the issue.

Following the mediation under Sri Sathyathma Thirtha Sripad of Uttaradi Mutt to get the consensus on compromise formula had failed.

After the failure of his mediation, the pontiff of Uttaradi Mutt withdrew himself from the scene today.

According to Pejavar and Puthige Mutt pontiffs, religious and traditional issues including performing Sri Krishna Pooja were settled amicably. But non-religious (loukika) conditions put forwarded by Puthige seer was not agreed upon by the Pejavar and other seers of Asta Mutts.

Though both the parties were totally declining to divulge the details of 'non-religious conditions' and the secret compromise formula, they are still confident of solving the crisis before Paryaya on January 18.

Meanwhile, the three-day fast undertaken by the Pejavar seer entered the second day today. After conducting the daily puja in his mutt here, the Pejavar seer maintained silence without speaking to anyone on the issue.

Early in the morning he met the Puthige seer in latter's mutt to have one more round of talks to solve the issue.

The junior pontiff of Pejavar Mutt, Sri Vishwaprasanna Thirtha, Sri Vishwapriya Thirtha Swamiji, the junior pontiff of Admar Mutt, Sri Vidyadheesha Thirtha Swamiji of Palimar Mutt and senior and junior pontiffs of Tambihal Madhavathirtha Samsthan, Kolar have also joined the fast since yesterday in support of Pejavar Mutt seer.

Meanwhile, emissaries from Mantralaya Sri Raghavendra Mutt in Andhra Pradesh have arrived in Udupi to mediate between the two factions to find an amicable solution to the crisis.
