City police arrested notorious inter-state gang
Bangalore, Jan 16 (UNI) The Organised Crime Wing of the City Crime Branch police have nabbed a 14-member gang led by notorious rowdy JCB Narayanaswamy, involved in murders, extortion and looting wanted by both Tamil Nadu and State police.
Addressing newspersons here today Mr N Achyutha Rao, City Police Commissioner informed that the rowdy gang led by Narayanaswamy had let reign of terror in Chikka Begur, Dodda Begur, Electronic city, mico layout and other adjoining areas of South-East Bangalore.
The police had managed to arrest the notorious gang when it was planning to attack Matni Naga, an opponent of Narayanaswamy near Electronic city on Sunday. The police also recovered a German made revolver, four country-made pistols and 30 fire arms and lethal weapons and three vehicles with fake name plates, from their possession during the raid.
The gang which was operating in south-east Bangalore region and its adjoining areas including bordering Tamil Nadu have allegedly committed over five murders, extortion and looting. The gang taking advantage of the booming real estate business also involved in creating false revenue records and grabbed both government and private lands after terrorising locals and government officials.
Appreciating the task of the CCB police Mr Rao informed that with the arrest of the Narayanaswamy gang the police have achieved a big breakthrough who have thrown challenges to the police force. He also announced that the officials who have involved in nabbing the culprits will be suitably rewarded.
