Bird Flu not posing threat to tourism: Soni
Hoshiarpur, Jan 16 (UNI) The outbreak of bird flu in the West Bengal had not posed any threat to tourism in the country, Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Ambika Soni asserted here today.
However, West Bengal government, Union Home and Tourism Ministries had taken effective steps to control the disease, Ms Soni told reporters here.
All the state governments had been instructed to find out ways and means to control bird flu, the minister said.
Ms Soni was here to review a meeting of tourism and cultural projects pertaining to Punjab here this evening.
