Prachanda is likely to be nominated for contesting the CA polls from Kathmandu as well as Sindhuli district in the western Nepal. ''Considering the importance of the Constituent Assembly poll, we have decided to nominate all central leaders as poll candidates,'' Dr Baburam Bhattarai, Maoist senior leader said yesterday, Kantipur reported. ''Since Kathmandu is the center of politics, we have decided to nominate our chairman for Kathmandu,'' he said, adding, ''In view of the value of our base area, we have also decided to nominate him (Prachanda) from one of the base areas of Sindhuli.
The party has, however, not yet decided the constituencies for Prachanda and other leaders.
''We will make public the name of all candidates and their constituencies in two or three days,'' Maoist central leader Dinanath Sharma said.
CPN-Maoist is a major ally in the Seven-Party Alliance (SPA).
