Bangalore, Jan 15 (UNI) Wipro Technologies, the global IT services division of Wipro Ltd, today announced the launch of its retail automation platform 'TINA'.
Developed at Wipro's Applied Innovation Lab as part of the customer experience enrichment programme, TINA was a platform on which customer interaction applications that use speech, touch and motion could be deployed, a company release here said today.
Company Senior Vice-President Bhanumurthy B M said ''as retailers seek to differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive and challenging marketplace, the cornerstone to success is to understand customer lifecycle needs and provide them with a superior shopping experience at every stage through that lifecycle. TINA helps us get one step closer to that dream.'' The SOA-enabled TINA could play an important part in the overall cross channel strategy for retailers. TINA was fully connected to the store and the retailer's enterprise through WiFi, empowering it with real time information on pricing, on-shelf inventories and promotions, the release said.
TINA was an effort to create applied innovation solutions for 'the next generation retail enterprise', it added.
