Yamunanagar, Jan 15 (UNI) Haryana Agriculture Minister H S Chatha today said that the report of the committee, looking into issue of a separate Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee of Haryana, was almost ready and would be submitted to the State Government before the next budget session of the State Assembly.
The Agriculture Minister, who was replying to media queries here, said that although the decision regarding formation of a separate Gurudwara Parbhandhak Committee of Haryana would be taken by the State Government, yet the Committee has almost finalised its report.
The Committee had received thousands of affidavits from Sikh domiciles of Haryana urging for a separate Gurudwara Parbhandak Committee for the state, he said.
He said that the process was being started to set up Asia's biggest mandi at Kundli in district Sonepat and apart from the farmers of Haryana, those of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab would also be able to sell their produce in this mandi.
The farmers would also get high quality seed at a fair price from this mandi. The mandi would prove a boon for the farmers of Haryana, he added.
In reply to another question, he said that the interest of the state would be fully safeguarded and the issue of land dispute with neighbouring Uttar Pradesh would also be resolved.
In reply to a question on suspension of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal and two MLAs Mr Dharampal Malik and Rakesh Kamboj from the Congress party, Mr Chatha said that the decision regarding their suspension has been taken by the Congress high command because it was necessary to maintain discipline in the party and no individual was above the party.
He said that their suspension would not make any adverse impact on the Congress party as the political parties were not run by any individual.
