New Delhi, Jan 15 (UNI) Continuing its rising trend over the past couple of days, the minimum temperature in Delhi today reached 9.8 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal, even as the Northwesterly winds maintained a chill in the air for the third consecutive day.
The rise in mercury notwithstanding, the North Westerly winds maintained a chill in the air in the morning.
Visibility levels, however, remained normal.
The coming days in the national capital are likely to witness a further rise in the mercury with the weatherman forecasting a rise in minimum temperature to 11 degrees tomorrow.
''The current meteorological analysis suggests further rise in minimum temperature by two to three degrees Celsius over plains of Northwest India during the next two to three days,'' the weatherman said.
The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours.
