Kalpakkam airconditioning by Blue Star
Kolkata, Jan 15 (UNI) Blue Star has bagged a Rs 38 crore order for airconditioning India's first indigenously designed Fast Breeder Reactor from Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) for the Kalpakkam project.
NPCIL had been entrusted by the Centre with setting up of 500 MW Fast Breeder Reactor at Kalpakkam at an approximate cost of Rs 3500 crore.
The company sources today said the Fast Breeder Reactor was being built using the design and technology developed at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), also located at Kalpakkam.
The Reactor at Kalpakkam is the first indigenously designed fast breeder reactor.
Blue Star will be airconditioning the entire Kalpakkam project, including supply of water cooled centrifugal chillers, to be completed over a period of 24 months.
