Adv Rodrigues in his petition, filed under Article 226 of the Indian Constitution, also sought that the offences committed by the ministers and other directors of Info Tech Corporation be investigated and action be taken.
He submitted that the authorities had been avoiding to take action as the IT minister was also the in-charge of the law portfolio.
He also sought damages against the State Chief Secretary and the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Panaji for non-performance of their statutory duties.
The petitioner mentioned that he had on December 24 last, filed the complaint under Section 7 and 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act and also Sections 406 and 409 of the Indian Penal Code pertaining to the giving away of 1,80,000 sq mt of land by Info Tech Corporation, headed by the minister, at an average rate of Rs 4,500 per sq mt as against the market rate ranging between Rs 20,000 and Rs 35,000 per sq mt.
