Fourth round of talks with IAEA soon: Kakodkar
Mumbai, Jan 15 (UNI) The fourth round of talks on a safeguards agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will start in the next few days, Atomic Energy Commission Chairman and Department of Atomic Energy Secretary Anil Kakodkar said.
''Work is in progress. The discussions will start in the next few days,'' Dr Kakodkar told reporters after inaugurating the three-day 'International Symposium on Neutron Scattering' at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre here today.
When asked whether there was any possibility of the talks getting delayed, Dr Kakodkar said, ''No'' and added, ''It is a technical process, which takes place step by step, and where no template exists.'' Recently, a team of Indian negotiators under Ravi Grover, Strategic Planning Director in DAE, had concluded the third round of parleys with the IAEA officials in Vienna.
