DHL, GOONJ come together to stir Mumbaikars into action
Mumbai, Jan 15 (UNI) DHL Express India along with NGO, GOONJ has launched a resource mobilisation campaign 'DHL - Deliver Help Drive'.
The cause driven campaign, which started yesterday, urges Mumbaikars to donate their old clothes, books, toys and other useful items for a good cause.
The donations will be collected by the DHL Express teams from the door steps of those who wish to donate and will be distributed by GOONJ through its network of grassroot groups in far-flung villages.
Commenting on the occasion, DHL Express India Manager Craig Grossart said, ''DHL is delighted to continue its strong involvement in the communities it operates in. This project will demonstrate our commitment to engage with and help local communities across the city.'' GOONJ Founder-Director Anshu K Gupta said, ''We hope that more corporates in the city and other metros will get inspired by this campaign.'' ''Our focus is on mobilising the massive resources lying unused in millions of urban households. In the last nine years of our work, we have seen how this can significantly influence countless lives in India's rural and slum areas,'' Mr Gupta added.
The unique drive, which is also supported by radio partners Red FM and Radio City, will continue till January 24.
