Brahmman Samaj meet at Beed from Jan 19
Beed, Maharashtra, Jan 15 (UNI) The two-day Bahubhashik Brahman Mahaadhiveshan (convention) would be held in Beed from January 19 to discuss problems faced by the community.
About one lakh community members from across the country are expected to attend the meet, the convention president Kalidasrao Thigle said.
Speaking to reporters here last night, Mr Thigle said the convention would discuss problems faced by the community. It is the fourth convention being organised in the region. Earlier, the conventions were held at Jalna, Aurangabad and Parbhani respectively.
He said the community did not want government assistance for its upliftment, instead it would find other means for the growth of the country. A special session would be devoted to farming, which has a considerable employment potential. The convention will have a two-day career consultancy meet beginning at Beed on January 16.
