Mumbai, Jan 14 (UNI) Former India captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi today disagreed with the Australian media that the India team was the worst behaved and, instead, said that India was by and large one of the best behaved teams in the world.

Speaking to reporters at the Cricket Centre after attending the IPL meeting, Pataudi said, ''During our time, we were very meek.

But, the present players are able to give back what they get.'' Pataudi, who was known as ''Tiger'' in his playing days, also lauded the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for standing right behind the team during this racism row concerning Harbhajan Singh.

He said that ICC is likely to reveal everything which happened during the closed door hearing by match referee Mike Proctor once the appeal is heard, adding, ''I do not think we have yet gotten to the bottom of the whole controversy.'' On the actual controversy whether Harbhajan called Andrew Symonds a ''monkey'', Pataudi said, ''The word monkey has different meanings and connotations, but I think over here, the ICC has taken the colour as the main reason for which Harbhjan allegedly called Symonds by that name.'' On the future course for the Indians in the series being two down already, Pataudi said that it is difficult, but the players have to forget the happenings of the last Test and move forward and concentrate on cricket.
