Rogers added to Australia's squad as Hayden's cover

By Staff

Melbourne, Jan 13 (UNI) Cricket Australia (CA) has added Chris Rogers as a 'shadow player' to Australia's squad for the third Test against India which begins from January 16 at Perth.

He has been included in the squad of 12 as a cover for injured Matthew Hayden who is nursing a hamstring injury that he suffered in the second Test against India at Sydney.

Uncapped Rogers will train with the squad from tomorrow.

Australia team Physiotherapist Alex Kountouris today said ''Matthew has taken part in training today. We will continue with the program on his hamstring and make a decision about Matthew's fitness and availability much closer to game time.'' UNI XC RAR AB BST1350
