Modi to have 'darshan' at Guruvayur temple tomorrow
Kochi, Jan 13 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi arrived at the Nedumbaserry international airport, near here, this evening on way to the renowned Sree Krishna temple at Guruvayur, where he will offer prayers tomorrow morning.
The Gujarat strongman was given a rousing reception by the Kerala unit of the BJP at the airport on his arrival at around 1930 hrs.
Speaking to the party workers briefly, Mr Modi said Gujarat had become a ''model state for development'' under BJP rule.
''We are back in power in Gujarat and will continue the work of development,'' he added.
Kerala unit BJP President P K Krishnadas, General Secretaries A N Radhakrishnan, M T Ramesh and K R Umakanthan and Treasurer Krishnanda Pai, besides a large number of party workers were present at the reception.
The Gujarat Chief Minister, accompanied by Mr Krishnadas and other State BJP leaders, later left for Guruvayur by a helicopter.
He would stay in the temple town tonight and offer prayers and 'thulabharam' at the Sree Krishna temple tomorrow morning, before leaving for Chennai.
Tight security arrangements were made at the airport in view of some threats to Mr Modi.
