HUDA to reserve plots for lawyers: Hooda

Karnal, Jan 13: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said that the provision of reservation in the allotment of residential plots for lawyers has been made in the sectors developed by Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA).

This was stated by the Chief Minister after inaugurated a four storey building of Lawyers Chamber Complex built at a cost of Rs 4.50 crore here.

The Chief Minister advised the new-comers in the legal profession to work hard and develop a habit of reading and keeping themselves abreast with the latest happenings.

He announced a grant of Rs 10 lakh for the library. The Chief Minister asked the District Administration to identify a suitable piece of land for the construction of additional chambers for the advocates.

Justice Jasbir Singh, Administrative Judge of Punjab and Haryana High court said that judicial complexes at all the district headquarter towns of the state would be ready in one and a half years. He said that the advocates should strive hard to maintain their glorious past.

While welcoming the Chief Guest, Amar Jit Singh Sahni, President, Bar Association appreciated the effort of Haryana Government for providing the better working atmosphere to the advocates.
