Mysore, Jan 12(UNI) Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Oscar Fernandes today said that Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) would be revamped shortly in order to face the coming assembly elections in the state.
Speaking to reporters here, he said the issue had been already discussed at various levels and several state top leaders expressed their views on this lines.
Mr Fernandes informed that Party's Karnataka observer Prthivaraja Chouan has been asked to revamp the KPCC and expressed confidence that it will be done shortly.
Stating that party will fare well in the coming assembly elections Mr Fernandes also hinted that former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Sidharamaiah will be asked to shoulder important responsibility before the elections. "The party high command has discussed the matter and it will be announced soon" Mr Fernandes said.
